SUBJECT: WIDESPREAD FITNESS INDUSTRY MISCONDUCT – A PUBLIC HEALTH SCANDAL

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Office of Fitness & Recreational Oversight (OFRO) has concluded an extensive investigation into widespread predatory practices employed by local gyms. Findings indicate that memberships once considered a pathway to health and wellness have devolved into financial traps designed to exploit consumers at every turn. 🔴 HOLIDAY LOCKOUTS – While members are encouraged to “never skip a workout,” gyms routinely close for every conceivable holiday, including Arbor Day, Groundhog Day, and "Staff Appreciation Week."

🔴 IMPOSSIBLE CANCELLATION POLICIES – Members attempting to cancel are met with resistance from highly trained "Retention Specialists" who employ the following tactics:

• "You must cancel in person during our exclusive 3-minute cancellation window on Tuesdays at 4:57 AM."

• "Cancellation requests require four notarized letters and a personal essay on why you’re quitting."

• "Before canceling, we must conduct a fitness exit exam, which includes a 12-mile run."

PUBLIC OUTRAGE & DEMANDS FOR JUSTICE

Consumers across the nation have united under the banner of #MUSCLEGATE, demanding reform and financial compensation. Citing extreme emotional distress caused by years of useless fees, locked doors, and the inability to cancel memberships even after moving to a different continent, victims are calling for immediate corrective action.
